Our Story

AstridSkin is an idea inspired by a need to see a community better served. Where skincare is less about glossy marketing and the latest trends, and more about simple, straightforward care.

Just like founders and best friends Berenice and Ashmina, millions of women just want to manage their skincare as best they can around busy schedules. It is not much to ask — or at least shouldn’t be. Whilst there is an abundance of products available on the shelves, effective solutions that actually work are seemingly scarce. In addition, despite the claims and complicated terminology found on the packaging, some products may actually be doing more harm than good to our skin.

AstridSkin believes in a duty of care, which means skincare should not harm and it should work. For this reason, we only stock NAFEsafe (free from alcohol, fragrances, and essential oils) products, and only ever will.

We believe customers can only make informed choices if they are empowered to do so. Therefore, it is our mission to build and grow our community so we can spread the NAFEsafe message to as many people as possible. By choosing to prioritize information and to apply a rigorous standard to what we stock, we give those millions of women like ourselves a simple and uncomplicated, one-stop shop.

As a business, we also recognize the role we must play in our wider community. It is crucial that we understand and manage our impact on the environment as best we can. For us, this means integrating sustainability into every aspect of our business. From products and packaging to distribution and support for sustainability programs, we see ourselves as custodians of the Earth — not just for today, but for the generations that will follow
